HH Major General Shaikh Nasser meets Foreign Minister, MoFA’s senior officials

Manama, Nov. 26 (BNA): National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, His Highness Major-General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, where he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and senior officials at the Ministry. This meeting comes in light of His Highness Shaikh Nasser’s visits to a number of ministries, institutions and government bodies, to meet with officials in charge of the latter entities, thus further supporting the Kingdom’s developmental route that is led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Highness Shaikh Nasser expressed his utmost appreciation for the pivotal national role played by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in implementing the visions and aspirations of His Majesty the King in enhancing the Kingdom of Bahrain's regional and international status at all levels, pointing out in this regard its tangible contributions to the Kingdom’s national achievements. His Highness also stressed the importance of collective work among state institutions to elevate national work and overcome all challenges, expressing his appreciation for the Ministry’s role in contributing to the Kingdom’s interests and strengthening its relations with all countries, as well as its keenness to communicate effectively and openly with the international community. He also commended MoFA’s active participation in the joint military drill "Samoom”, recently conducted by the Royal Guard, which further confirms MoFA’s outstanding abilities and its keenness to make a success out of all national programs and efforts. For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his thanks and on behalf of the Ministry’s employees to His Highness Shaikh Nasser’s visit, which further embodies the solid approach of communicating with all ministries and entities of the Kingdom and enhancing cooperation among them. He noted that this relies on the value of partnership between all institutions in supporting the Kingdom’s development following the leadership of His Majesty the King. The Minister of Foreign Affairs also highlighted how MoFA follows the policy of His Highness Shaikh Nasser in enabling the youth at various levels, especially at the political and diplomatic field. He affirmed that the Ministry continues to qualify young diplomatic cadres to be able to represent the Kingdom of Bahrain abroad, pointing out in this regard MoFA’s keenness to support all high-level national initiatives undertaken by His Highness aimed at strengthening national security and consolidating the humanitarian and charitable role played by the Kingdom of Bahrain through a honourable model embodied by the Royal Charity Organization with its relief assistance to brotherly and friendly countries.
