HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad receives Finance Minister

Manama, Dec. 19 (BNA): First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received at the Al-Wadi Palace today, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. General Sports Authority’s Deputy Chairman, Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and CEO, Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, were present. HH Shaikh Khalid conveyed the wishes of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the minister and all the affiliates of the Finance Ministry for further success in carrying out their duties, in accordance with the vision of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to achieve the goals of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. HH Shaikh Khalid discussed with the Finance Minister the plans and development projects to be implemented by the General Sports Authority in the coming period to further advance the sports sector and move towards professionalism, in a way that would meet the aspirations to increase the role of sports in serving society and supporting the national economy. The minister expressed deep pride in the role played by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad in developing the sports sector, affirming the Finance Ministry’s keenness to implement the vision of the government, led by HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support all sector and state departments in order to ensure a better and more prosperous future for the kingdom, during the prosperous era of HM the King.
