HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad receives IAAF President

Manama, May 26 (BNA): First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), President of the General Sport Auhority (GSA), President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received in his office at Al-Wadi Palace yesterday President of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), Sebastian Newbold Coe, who is currently on a visit to the kingdom. The meeting was attended by GSA Deputy President Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, GSA Chief Executive Dr. Abdulrahman Sadaq Askar, and Chairman of Bahrain Athletics Association Mohammed Abdullatif bin Jalal. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed the president of IAAF and conveyed to him the greetings and best wishes of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also reviewed with him development of the athletics sport in Bahrain and the achievements brought about by the Bahraini athletes in various championships. Both sides also discussed means of enhancing cooperation to further develop the athletics sport. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa wished IAAF every success in attaining its goals.
