HH Shaikh Khalid expresses deep appreciation to HM King for supporting Bahraini champion

Manama, Jan. 17 (BNA): Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has expressed deep gratitude to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his interest in the release of Sami Al Haddad, the world bodybuilding champion and BOC ambassador, as well as other seafarers. HH Shaikh Khalid said that the phone call by HM the King to Al Haddad reflects HM’s great care for sports figures and support for all athletes. The special call also reflects HM the King’s paternal feelings for all Bahraini citizens, HH Shaikh Khalid said, adding that sports figures have always held a special place, he added. HH Shaikh Khalid pointed out HM the King’s interest in the wellbeing of Al Haddad reflects the great appreciation and unlimited support that HM King Hamad accords to the sports sector and the nation’s heroes who have recorded achievements in various foreign forums. HH Shaikh Khalid expressed special pride in the genuine care and immense support provided by HM the King to all people in Bahrain and in HM’s interest in the case of Al Haddad and other seafarers. HH Shaikh Khalid also extended thanks and appreciation to all official institutions that contributed to the release of Al Haddad and other seafarers and to their safe return home.
