HH Shaikh Nasser AIR&D Centre discuss future developments

Manama, Dec. 15 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Centre held its second meeting in the presence of members of the Council representing the public and private sectors. CEO Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Nuaimi thanked the companies for their contributions to delivering the vision of the center that aims to establish the Kingdom as a leading model in research, development, and innovation in the region. Artificial intelligence consultant Dr. Jassim Haji reviewed the most prominent achievements of the center in 2022. The achievements represent artificial intelligence projects that were completed with more than 32 institutions and nine regional entities, and the provision of various innovative solutions, including automatic prediction, machine learning, computer vision, and conversations, robotics and process automation. The meeting discussed future development projects and initiatives through which the center will spread the culture of innovation and investment in research and development. The meeting also reviewed the establishment of an artificial intelligence academy, setting policies for governance and ethics of artificial intelligence, and developing the skills of the graduates in Bahrain with regional and international academies and technology companies.
