HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad meets British Prime Minister's International Affairs Adviser and Deputy National Security Adviser

London, Oct.7 (BNA): National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander Major-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailed strong historic relations spanning over two hundred years between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, and steadily-growing security and defence ties and joint cooperation to combat extremism and terrorism. HH Shaikh Nasser discussed with British Prime Minister's International Affairs Adviser and Deputy National Security Adviser David Quarrey ways of consolidating cooperation and friendship, and exchanging political, security and defence expertise, in addition to regional and international issues of common interest. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad praised Bahrain’s strategic and steadily-growing partnership with the United Kingdom, as well as constructive cooperation to protect international maritime movement and combating organized crime and terrorism, stressing joint commitment to bolstering security and peace in the Middle East and achieving common economic and security interests. Quarrey welcomed HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s visit, which reflects joint keenness to enhance outstanding security and defence partnership, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further security, progress and prosperity. The meeting was attended by Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
