HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad's youth initiatives praised

Manama, Nov. 28 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) today praised the noble initiatives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee in supporting and empowering the Bahraini youth and his kind patronage of the Peacemaking Youth Forum2017, in appreciation of youths' pivotal role in the achievement of peace and pushing the comprehensive sustainable development process. The minister affirmed that this global youth forum comes within the keenness of the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his wise government led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa with support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, on investment on youth and their qualification to effectively contribute in the country’s ongoing developmental and urbanization strides. The minister expressed the Information Affairs Ministry’s pride with all of its audio-visual channels on its coverage of this distinctive youth congregation focused on the media, educational, technical and futuristic themes, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs. The forum follows the tremendous success of the International Youth Forum last year. The minister praised the speech of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in which he outlined the Kingdom’s position as the convergence of cultures, civilisations and religious and the embracer of youth for peace, tolerance and partners in combating extremism and terrorism to ensure serene, stable and sustainable communities. Al Romaihi praised the pioneering initiatives of Bahrain at the international level, that boost the presence and place of youth in their regional and international ambience as well as their positive role in peacemaking, spreading the values of justice and tolerance and shunning extremism, violence and terrorism and boosting the developmental accomplishments, He cited the King Hamad Global Award for Empowering Youth citing its role in the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs). He also cited the King Hamad Global Centre for Interfaith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-existence, the King Hamad Chair for Dialogue, Peace and Understanding Studies in La Sapienza University in Rome. He affirmed the ministry’s and the BIPD’s keenness on preparation and qualification of Bahraini youths to develop their productive, creative capabilities and brush up their skills and enlighten them across the media and include them in the training programmes aimed to impart sound democratic ethical practices and the suave expression of opinions and immunize them against destructive extremist ideologies and inform them about the importance of upholding the progressive values of HM the King’s reforms. The minister emphasized his trust in the Bahraini youth’s awareness and loyalty to their nation and wise leadership to enhance the good citizenship spirit and respecting the foundations and assets of the State of law and institutions and to bear their responsibilities in defending the homeland security and stability and promoting the values of tolerance, peaceful co-existence among religious, cultures and civilizations
