HH Shaikh Nasser patronizes Royal Guard Commemoration Day ceremony

Manama, Dec. 17 (BNA): Under the patronage of National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander Major-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a ceremony was held to commemorate Martyr's Day in the Royal Guard in Bahrain Defense Force. Royal Guard's Special Force Commander, Lieutenant Colonel His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the ceremony. Following the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, one shot was fired for a minute of silence. A second shot announced the end of the silent tribute. The band played the Last Melody and the religious guide offered the prayer of the martyr before HH Shaikh Nasser watered the palm tree symbolizing life. HH Shaikh Nasser offered on the occasion a salute of reverence, loyalty and pride to Bahrain’s martyrs of national duty who have died in the fields of honor. “On this honorable day, we recall the heroes who sacrificed so much in the service of their homeland and in defense of their religion. They have now joined the ranks of those who preceded them and won the honor of martyrdom for the sake of God. They have joined the elite of the righteous martyrs of Bahrain who since the days of our fathers and grandfathers sacrificed themselves to defend the religion and the homeland and to support the brothers. They contributed honorably and impressively to the collective consciousness of the nation,” HH Shaikh Nasser said. “We will share with our children and the next generations their sacrifices and heroism from which we have learned the highest levels of bravery and sacrifice which they had enshrined with their pure souls and blood. We stand today to pay a loyal tribute to them and to commemorate their glory of magnanimity, fraternity and heroism. We bow in respect to all our fallen heroes, our martyrs who are alive with their God, well provided for.” HH Shaikh Nasser urged everyone to acquire the qualities of the righteous martyrs and to emulate the noble sacrifices they have achieved based on the courage and bravery that they have displayed in the victories achieved in the Restore Hope operations in Yemen within the Arab Coalition Forces led by Saudi Arabia. “These victories were achieved thanks to their noble sacrifices based on courage and on determined daring to perform their national duties for the sake of what is right,” HH Shaikh Nasser said. "On this great occasion, we pledge to the leader of our triumphs, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, our full allegiance and loyalty. After God, he is the one who inspires our determination, resolve and bravery.”
