Higher education investment backed

Manama, Oct. 28 (BNA): The Higher Education Council has granted its initial approval to the Royal University for Women (RUW) to launch a Civil Engineering B.Sc in cooperation with the West Virginia University. (HEC) Acting Secretary-General Dr. Mona Al-Balooshi received West Virginia University Chairman Dr. Thomas V. Flaherty, in the presence RUW President Professor Mazin Jumaah. Dr. Al-Balooshi stressed the importance of ensuring the compliance of the new academic programme with the provisions of law 3 of 2005 on high education, backing value-added investment in the academic sector.
