His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad participates in World Government Summit

Manama, Mar. 10 (BNA): Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, participated in the World Government Summit, which was held remotely under the auspices of the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa took part in the event alongside the UAE Minister of Culture and Youth, Noora Al-Ka’abi. The summit brought together international leaders and speakers as well as an elite of experts and specialists, officials from international organisations and entrepreneurs from across the globe. Addressing a session held under the theme “The Next Decade Led by the Youth”, HH Shaikh Nasser stressed the great importance given to the youth by the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He said this confirms the kingdom’s trend to empower the youth, praising the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. “"The world is going through this period of great challenges imposed by the coronavirus pandemic that cast its shadow over many sectors in the world. The most important thing is how to benefit from the lessons of the challenges posed by the pandemic to form starting points towards building a better future for the world and developing different sectors to be compatible with the challenges that may be faced in the future and provide strategies based on clear scientific methods, " HH said. HH Shaikh Nasser underlined the great efforts made by the youth all over the world to contain the challenges of the pandemic and its fallouts, mainly in light of the changes which affected many fields in which youngsters make up an essential part. He called on the youth to define where they are in view of the repercussions of the pandemic and start paving the way for a brighter future by determining priorities. “We must create diverse and innovative platforms to communicate with young people in a better way in order to shape the desired future based on placing the youth at the forefront and leadership,” HH asserted, noting that the youth are the most capable of change and are able to achieve and move in order to build the future. He also underscored the need to invest in the youth in an optimum way and stand by their side in leading their countries. He brought under the spotlight many visions on youth empowerment and the significance of boosting the quest for knowledge and creativity to revive hope in the future. He underlined the role of the youth in building nations to set up a comprehensive system of sustainable growth that contributes to global development in a better way.
