"History of Earth's Strata in Korea" Tabulated in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- The Geology Institute of the State Academy of Sciences in the DPRK has tabulated the history of earth's strata in Korea. It shows the origination and formation of the earth's crust in Korea in a chronological order together with strata for each geological era. Ultra-modern age-determination methods and means were applied, so error range is small and accuracy is so high that all the indices fully comply with the international standard. The achievement, a time yardstick for detailed geological history of Korea, will help different units in the geological research field with their scientific research, education and prospecting of natural resources. -0-
