Hit-and-run driver arrested

Manama, Feb. 27 (BNA): Director-General of Traffic announced today the arrest of a driver suspected to be involved in a hit-and-run accident occurred on Tuesday evening on the government road in Manama and seriously injured a female pedestrian. He was arrested after 13 hours of the incident. He said that the traffic operation room dealt with the case and the woman was referred to hospital for treatment, meanwhile, the investigation led to the identification and arrest of the suspect. The Director-General said that legal proceedings were taken and the case was referred to the Public Prosecutor.
