HM King’s achievements hailed by Arab parliamentarians

Manama, June 3 (BNA): Heads and members of Arab legislative councils and parliaments and the representatives of organisations concerned with education have affirmed that the National Action Charter Monument is an iconic landmark that documents the kingdom’s democratic experience.
They asserted that the kingdom’s democratic process is widely appreciated at the Arab and international levels, thanks to the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who has led Bahrain to unprecedented levels of progress and prosperity in all fields, as well as to the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
They also indicated that the “Her Highness Shaikha Moza bint Hamad Al Khalifa Comprehensive Girls' School” is a living example of the progress witnessed by the educational process during HM King Hamad’s prosperous era.
This came as the Arab parliamentary delegations paid a visit to the National Action Charter and the “Her Highness Shaikha Moza bint Hamad Al Khalifa Comprehensive Girls' School”. They were accompanied by Education Minister, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, Arab Parliament Speaker, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi.
The visit was on the sidelines of the conference to launch the “Document on Education Development in the Arab World”.
Held under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the conference, themed “Bahrain the gateway to the development of education in the Arab world”, was organised by the Arab Parliament, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, with the participation of the speakers of Arab legislative councils and parliaments, as well as representatives of the relevant organisations.
While visiting the National Action Charter Monument, the delegations were informed about the names of the voters who endorsed the National Action Charter on February 14, 2001, by an overwhelming majority of 98.4%, embodying the massive popular support for HM the King’s Reform Project.
They also toured the halls of the Monument, and were informed about the existing documentary films, interactive screens, photos, collectibles, interactive games for children and historical documents, all of which confirming the foundations of HM the King’s national project, based on unity, diversity, respect for the other, giving perseverance, determination, cooperation, tolerance, resolve to assume national responsibility and encouragement of creativity.
Then, the Arab parliamentary delegations visited the “Her Highness Shaikha Moza bint Hamad Al Khalifa Comprehensive Girls' School”, which is the first school in Bahrain to be established with international design and green building specifications. It is the largest in terms of capacity, cost and facilities.
The state-of-the-art school covers a total area of 50,000 square metres with 26,500 square metres of build area. It consists of advanced scientific laboratories, classrooms equipped by digital equipment, classrooms for students with special needs and multi-purpose halls. It also includes green environment-friendly buildings that save energy, a central conditioning system and lifts for students in each building.
