HM King’s Personal Representative holds call with Israeli minister

Manama, Sept.23 (BNA): A phone call was held between His Majesty the King’s Personal Representative, Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) President, His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and the Israeli Minister of Environmental Protection Gila Gamliel. They exchanged congratulations on the signing of the peace declaration between the two countries and reviewed aspects of joint cooperation in the field of environmental protection and climate change. They focused on other environmental issues which affect the region and the need to find solutions to address them by exchanging information and expertise. HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa highlighted Bahrain’s achievemnets and good reputation in the field of environmental protection, stressing the SCE-led efforts and commitment to regional and international agreements, legislations and laws on climate change, the wildlife and the natural habitats.
