HM King arrives in Jordan for Arab Summit

Amman, Mar. 29 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in Jordan to head Bahrain's delegation to the 28th Arab League Summit. His Majesty the King was welcomed upon arrival by HRH Prince Hamza bin Al Hussain and senior Jordanian officials. HM the King was saluted by a lineup of the Royal Jordanian Guard. "We are delighted as we arrive in our second home, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and we emphasize our utmost pride in the solid historic fraternal ties between our two countries and peoples," HM the King said in a statement. 'These longstanding ties feature constant progress and advancement at all levels, and we express to our brother His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussain, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, our deep gratitude for His Majesty's kind invitation to share with our brethren Their Majesties, Excellency and Highnesses the leaders of Arab countries in the Arab League Summit meeting and to exchange opinions and consultations regarding all issues of shared concern and related to the present of our nation and the future of our peoples. "Our region has been experiencing development and variables with mounting connection and impact on the security and safety of our countries, which makes our summit a necessity and adds to our meeting tremendous responsibility in order to unify our stances, strengthen ranks and visions to confront the current challenges with an integrated strategy that achieves our interests and supports our efforts in improving the region's status and addressing its crises so that good prevails all over. "Our blessed meeting is an important opportunity for us to decide our fate according to our own will and amongst ourselves, envisioning the future that we wish, away from any plots imposed upon us or interference that affect us. We affirm our trust in the wisdom of our brother His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussain and the willpower of our brethren Their Majesties, Excellency and Highnesses the leaders of Arab countries to lead this summit towards resolutions that address all aspects of cooperation, and contribute effectively in pushing the progress of joint Arab action to achieve all the aspirations and hopes of the Arab peoples for prosperity and lead to more security and stability. We pray to Almighty Allah that our meetings succeed in the interest and welfare and honour of our Arab nation."
