HM King attends military drill conclusion

Manama, Sep. 24 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today attended the final stages of the live fire military exercise (Sumoom 3) jointly held between the Bahraini and the United Arab Emirates forces. Bahrain Defence Force Commander-in-chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa was present. HM the King was received upon arrival by the Director of the military exercise, Royal Guard Commander HH Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Royal Guard Special Force Commander, HH Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and a number of senior officers. HM the King was briefed by HH Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa on the drill stages and the success of its goals. A number of Bahraini and UAE officers participated in the drill saluted HM the King who congratulated them on the success of the military drill and praised their professionalism and competence in implementing the drill. HM the King welcomed the UAE officers among their brethren in force, saying the drill reflects the depth of the historical and strategic bilateral relations, chiefly in military and defence fields. Adding the drill contributes to raising their combat readiness to take on the challenges threaten the security of the region. HM the King praised the military forces of the two states as they fight shoulder to shoulder under the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to counter terrorism and supporting the Yemeni people. HM the King expressed appreciation of HH Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s successful management of the military drill, lauding his efforts to upgrade the combat capabilities of the Royal Guard personnel. He hailed the Royal Guard and the BDF personnel’s commitment to carry out their duties inside Bahrain and abroad, wishing them more successes to come.
