HM King of Bahrain hails Arab Parliament’s role

Manama, (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa commended the role of the Arab Parliament (AP) in defending the Arab causes and consolidating joint pan-Arab march. This came as he received at the Sakhir Airbase AP Speaker Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salmi , currently on visit to Bahrain to attend the international conference being held under the theme “Role of Women’s Political Participation in Achieving Development Justice: Practical Practices and Future Aspirations”. He commended the AP Speaker’s fruitful participation in the conference, hailing the AP unwavering and honourable stances in support of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He highlighted the AP-led role to consolidate cooperation between the Arab parliaments to exchange visits and expertise and build bridges of understanding with parliaments in friendly countries towards advocating just Arab causes. HM the King underlined the critical situation the Arab region is going through currently, stressing the need for Arabs to join ranks and stand united to confront all threats and challenges. He highlighted Bahrain’s successful parliamentary march and landmark achievements, stressing the role of the legislative branch of government in bolstering Bahrain’s development and pioneering standing. The AP Speaker expressed thanks to HM the King, hailing Bahrain’s stances in support of the collective Arab work, hailing the Kingdom’s parliamentary and development march thanks to HM the King’s wisdom and leadership which yielded many achievements and successes for Bahrain’s progress and prosperity. AP Speaker Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salmi stressed the Arab Parliament’s support and solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain, backing all measures to protect its security, stability and safety of its citizens and rejecting flagrant external interference in its internal affairs.
