HM King of Bahrain meets US Vice Chief of Naval Operations

Manama, Dec.5 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, has today received, at Al-Sakhir Palace, Admiral William Francis Moran, US Vice Chief of Naval Operations. HM the King hailed solid historic relations and strong partnership binding Bahrain and the USA, lauding decades-old ties which are based on trust, respect and joint cooperation for the sake of mutual goals and interests. HM the King lauded the steadily-growing relations and hailed defence and military ties, stressing joint keenness on further developing ties. He expressed condolences on the death of Vice Admiral Scott Stearney, Commander of the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and Commander of U.S. Fifth Fleet. He paid tribute to late Vice Admiral Scott Stearney for his dedicated contribution to strengthening joint cooperation, extending appreciation and condolences to all .S. Fifth Fleet personnel. HM the King and the US Vice Chief of Naval Operations exchanged views regarding issued of mutual concern on the regional and international arenas. Regional developments were also discussed.
