HM King of Bahrain receives Shura, Representatives, Municipal members

Manama, Dec. 12 (BNA): HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, today at the Isa Cultural Center, received members of the Shura, Representatives and Municipal councils to pay respect to HM the King.
HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy prime Minister, were present.
HM the King welcomed the newly elected and appointed members who would take on their national responsibilities to serve the homeland, citizens and democracy. He congratulated the Shura members on their appointment and members of Representatives and Municipal councils on trust vested in them by their the people of Bahrain.
HM the King stressed that the legislative branch would assume serious national responsibilities, highlighting consensus and cooperation between the two branches are essential to push ahead with the construction and development process to wider horizons in the interest of the homeland and citizens.
HM the King welcomed the Shura and Representatives’ achievements made during the past legislative term, noting their pivotal roles in developing laws and legislation, strengthening the state of constitution and defending the homeland’s interests. He also commended the role of the municipal councils in improving services provided to citizens.
HM the King took pride in citizens’ keenness to promote social unity, appreciating their efforts in various fields and their key role in boosting Bahrain’s standing at all levels.
HM the King highlighted that the new legislative term would witness more achievements to benefit the national action march, wishing them success in shouldering their new responsibilities.
Members of Shura, Representatives and Municipal councils hailed the royal keenness to promote the democratic approach and support for the legislative branches.
