HM King congratulated by ambassador to UK

Manama, Oct. 18 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has received a cable from the Bahraini Ambassador the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, following Bahrain’s winning of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for the period 2019-2021. The ambassador extended deepest congratulations to HM the King on the kingdom’s election as member of the UNHRC by 165 votes. Shaikh Fawaz stressed that the achievement embodies the world’s respect for the pioneering humanitarian initiatives launched by HM the King for the sake of promoting tolerance and co-existence among religions, and supporting the international efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability. He affirmed that Bahrain’s election as UNHRC member adds to its milestone development and progress achievements attained by the kingdom during HM King Hamad’s prosperous era. Bahrain’s Ambassador to the UK pledged to spare no effort in order serve the homeland, preserve national gains and highlight HM the King’s pioneering comprehensive reform project at various regional and international gatherings. He prayed to Allah the Almighty to guide HM the King on the right path, wishing him further success in enhancing Bahrain’s progress and prosperity.
