HM King congratulated by Arab Parliament Speaker

Manama, Dec. 16 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received a congratulatory cable from the Arab Parliament Speaker, Adel Al-Asoomi, on the kingdom’s celebrations of its National Days in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, the anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne. In the cable, Al-Asoomi praised the crucial role played by HM the King and his wise leadership in supporting and protecting the Arab national security, through the adoption of a foreign policy that consolidated Bahrain’s distinguished status, strengthened its effective Arab, regional and international presence and contributed significantly to enhancing joint Arab action in safeguarding regional and global security and stability. He expressed the Arab Parliament’s full support for Bahrain, and backing of all the measures it takes against whoever poses a threat to its security, targets its capabilities and attempts to interfere in its domestic affairs. The Arab Parliament Speaker expressed his pride in the kingdom’s multiple achievements across various fields, under HM the King’s leadership. Al-Asoomi prayed to Allah the Almighty to bless HM King Hamad with abundant health and wellness, and Bahrain and its people with everlasting progress and prosperity, under his leadership.
