HM King congratulated by HRH Crown Prince on UNIDO award

Manama, Nov. 22 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister on the occasion of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO)'s award being conferred in recognition of His Majesty the King's global role in delivering the Bahrain Model for Economic Empowerment. His Royal Highness received the award on behalf of His Majesty the King on the side-lines of the UNIDO’s 50th anniversary, taking pride in His Majesty's patronage of the Kingdom's exemplary development march and lauding the efforts of the Supreme Council of Women (SCW)'s President and Wife of HM the King, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, and pledging to continue the national development process under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King. The UNIDO award recognises decades of diligent work and the development of innovative initiatives that have ensured a better future for women, young people and entrepreneurs in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Kingdom of Bahrain began its partnership with the UNIDO by hosting the UNIDO’s Investment and Technology Promotion Office 20 years ago which culminated in the Bahrain Model for Economic Empowerment now being followed in 48 countries across the globe.
