HM King congratulated by Speaker

Manama, Sept.15(BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on the signing of the Peace Declaration between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel. She said that the signing of the covenant with the State of Israel stems from Bahrain’s sovereign right and vital national interests, hailing HM the King’s bold and important step, as the Middle East goes through a critical phase. She said that the signing of the declaration would herald a new phase marked by joint action which would consolidate peace, security and stability in the region. She added that the declaration would support Bahrain’s efforts, led by HM the King, to advovate the Arab and Islamic causes, particularly the Palestinian issue, which has full priority, towards ending the conflict and establishing a stable, independent and prosperous Palestinian state.
