HM King congratulated by Speaker on International Day of Democracy

Manama, Sept. 14 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a congratulatory cable from Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal on the International Day of Democracy which is observed on September 15. The Representatives Council Speaker extended sincerest congratulations to HM the King on the occasion, praising the kingdom’s democratic achievements under his wise leadership. She also lauded the tremendous royal support to the legislative branch since the launch of the comprehensive and sustainable development and reform march. She underlined the kingdom’s quality democratic strides by adopting lofty principles aimed at promoting the state of law and institutions and laying down modern constitutional pillars enshrined in the National Action Charter and ushering in a new era of political reform and democratic life. The Representatives Council Speaker wished HM the King abundant health and happiness and further growth and prosperity to Bahrain.
