HM the King congratulates the people of Bahrain on successful elections

Manama, Nov.12 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has congratulated the people of Bahrain on the success they achieved on this memorable national day in voting in the parliamentary and municipal elections. “We congratulate ourselves and our loyal people on this great achievement. for dear Kingdom”, HM the King said, hailing the massive turnout as Bahrainis of different age categories rallied massively to cast their ballots, thus contributing to this remarkable achievement. HM the King paid tribute to the loyal people of Bahrain for this high turnout by all measures, noting that their massive participation represents a landmark achievement which will be engraved in the annals of history for Bahrain’s coming generations. HM the King extended thanks to the people of Bahrain for their sincere patriotic stance, their choice to participate with their free and independent will and their keenness to perform their national responsibilities. He hailed citizens’ awareness of their duties, as well as their keen interest in building their future and the future of their country through the elections and constitutional institutions. He praised the successful and sincere efforts made by the Higher Elections Committee, the supporting subcommittees, all concerned parties, all male and female workers at the polling and counting centers, as well as volunteers who affirmed the honorable image and the highly-civilized level of our honorable people. HM the King hailed their integrity, accuracy, honesty and high efficiency, praising the role of the Bahraini judiciary in supervising the electoral process. “The people of Bahrain were resolved in supporting the reform process, drawing from the history of Bahrain and its approach, which is based on coexistence, pluralism and diversity among the various social trends d in the modern civil state in which all citizens live equally”, he said. The Shura approach, HM the King said, will be based on participation in the democratic process through the representatives of the people of Bahrain who were chosen by the people of Bahrain in free, fair and direct elections. “This approach will remain a way of life and work for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people”, said HM the King, vowing that the march will continue with utmost determination and a firm will to achieve all the good and blessed goals and build a better future for our coming generations. HM the King prayed to Allah the Almighty for all to succeed in serving Bahrain and contribute to strengthening its standing and realizing the aspirations of its loyal people towards further development, progress and prosperity.
