HM King, HH Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi hold talks

Abu Dhabi, May 23 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi discussed the fraternal ties between the two countries and a number of topics of joint interests. HH the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi welcomed HM the King’s visit, paid tribute to the longstanding relations binding the two countries and their people. The two sides reviewed the solid historical bilateral relations and keenness to further boost them to benefit the joint interests. Regional developments and their implications for the security and stability in the region were discussed, in addition to a number of issues of joint interest. HM the King expressed pride in the cordial deep-rooted ties between the two countries and their people, welcoming the level of cooperation and coordination in various fields. He highly appreciated the UAE’s stances supportive to the kingdom of Bahrain and its people. HM the King hailed the UAE’s leading role at the regional and international levels and its endeavour to defend Arab interests and causes, promote the joint Arab action and maintain security and stability in the region. HM the King highlighted Bahrain’s solidarity with the UAE in any security measures it may take to protect its security, stability and interests. HH the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi underlined the significance of the coordination and cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council to serve progress and prosperity of the GCC countries and confront current challenges. HH the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi hosted an Iftar banquet in honour of HM the King.
