HM King holds call with Iraqi president

Manama, June 28 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has held a phone call with Iraqi President Barham Salih. HM the King commended the stance of the Iraqi Government in the aftermath of the rejected attack on Bahrain’s Embassy in Baghdad, as well as the measures it has taken to provide necessary protection. He lauded Bahrain’s deep-rooted fraternal relations with Iraq and its brotherly people, stressing kenneess on pushing joint ties forward towards wider horizons on all levels so as to serve the interests of the two countries and deter anyone who attemps to compromise bilateral relations. President Salih stressed his country’s keenness on consolidating fraternal and historic relations between Bahrain and Iraq. He said that Iraq does not allow anyone to harm bilateral relations, hailing Bahrain’s brotherly positions in support of Iraq under all stances and circumstances.
