HM King holds talks with Egyptian President before returning home

Cairo, May 14 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, today at Cairo International Airport prior to his departure to Bahrain, held a talk session with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The close fraternal ties and ways to boost cooperation between the two countries in various fields were reviewed, in addition to the emphasis on continuing consultation and coordination in the interest of the two countries and their people. The accelerated regional and international developments and coordinating stances were also discussed. HM The King expressed thanks to the Egyptian President for the warm welcome and generous hospitality, praising the role of the Egyptian President in promoting the Bahraini-Egyptian relations. HM the King pointed out Egypt’s pivotal role in defending Arab issues and national security, stressing that Egypt is a fundamental pillar of the Middle East stability, for its strategic regional weight. He wished Egypt and its people further progress and prosperity. The Egyptian President welcomed the outcomes of the two leaders’ talks that fall within the framework of consultation and coordination on latest developments. He praised HM the King’s keenness to promote the bilateral relations, as well as Bahrain’s stances supportive to his country and people. He wished the kingdom of Bahrain and its people more advancement and well-being under the royal leadership. HM the King was bid farewell by the Egyptian President, senior Egyptian officials and Bahrain’s Ambassador to Egypt upon his departure to the Kingdom of Bahrain. HM the King sent a cable of thanks to the Egyptian President, in which he expressed delight in his visit. He appreciated the warm welcome and generous hospitality that reflected the depth of the bilateral relations and mutual keenness to continue consultation on issues to benefit both countries and serves Arab and Islamic causes. HM the King reiterated commendation of Egypt’s role in safeguarding Arab national security, interests and joint action, noting its strategic contributions to establish security, stability and development. He reaffirmed Bahrain’s support for Egypt in its tireless development efforts and its endeavours to address various challenges threaten the region. HM the King wished the Egyptian President good health and happiness and the Arab Republic of Egypt further security and stability. HM the King arrived in Bahrain after conducting a visit to the United Kingdom followed by another to the Arab Republic of Egypt, where he held talks with the Egyptian President focused on the longstanding bilateral relations and latest Arab, regional and global developments. HM the King was received upon arrival in by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
