HM King, HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulated by Foreign Minister

Manama, Dec. 15 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, has extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as to the Bahraini people, on Bahrain's National Days in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, the anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne. The Minister indicated that the National Days provide an opportunity to celebrate Bahrain’s pioneering developmental achievements attained thanks to HM the King’s forward-looking visions and keenness to harness all potentials to achieve the aspirations of the people of Bahrain. Dr. Al-Zayani also commended Kingdom’s multiple achievements resulting from HM the King’s comprehensive development approach, and Bahrainis’ cohesion, dedication and giving, making the kingdom a significant model for growth and progress among developed countries, and enhancing its distinguished pioneering role in the international community. The Minister expressed his utmost pride in and appreciation of the relentless efforts made by the government, led by HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to implement the Government Action Plan (2019-2022) that focuses on increasing earnings, as well as achieving economic growth, financial stability and sustainable development. He pointed out that the government’s priorities are based on strengthening basic principles of the state and society, financial sustainability and economic development, and securing an environment that supports sustainable development. The Minister also commended the Kingdom of Bahrain’s handling of COVID-19 and the unprecedented circumstances that the country had to endure, highlighting the significant role played by Team Bahrain, led by HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Dr. Al-Zayani affirmed that the Foreign Ministry is committed to assuming the tasks assigned to it by HM the King, to bolster relations with brotherly and friendly countries and enhance the Kingdom’s position regionally and internationally. He added that it will continue to implement the principles of foreign policy based on the established national goals of the Kingdom of Bahrain by consolidating GCC cooperation and integration, promoting joint Arab and Islamic solidarity, adhering to the principles of good neighbourliness, non-interference in the internal affairs of countries, not allowing any state to interfere in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also highlighted the Ministry’s keenness to settle disputes through peaceful means, work on providing a regional and international environment in which peace, security, stability, sustainable development, solidarity and cooperation prevail, contribute to international community’s efforts to combat terrorism, prevent its financing, combat the ideology of extremism and extremism, and promote the values of tolerance, coexistence and brotherhood among all peoples, religions and beliefs The Minister also praised the efforts exerted by the diplomatic missions of the Kingdom of Bahrain abroad, led by ambassadors, members of the diplomatic and consular corps, praising their keenness to assume their responsibilities to protect the interests of the Kingdom and its citizens abroad and strengthen the Kingdom's relations with other countries. Dr. Al-Zayani commended the dedicated efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' employees in the Ministry’s General Court to perform the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to them to implement the Kingdom’s foreign policy and cement the position that the Kingdom of Bahrain occupies regionally and internationally, hailing their constant eagerness to develop their skills and capabilities. The Minister wished the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
