HM King invited to attend GCC summit

Manama, May 25 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received an invitation from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to attend the GCC emergency summit in Saudi Arabia. HM the King received this evening at Al-Safriya Palace GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, who submitted a letter from the Saudi monarch, enclosing an invitation to attend the summit. He paid tribute to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the invitation wishing the success of the summit to achieve the aspirations of the GCC peoples to confront all challenges. He hailed the GCC outstanding achievements since its establishment, bolstering political, economic, security, social and cultural pillars. . He commended the vision of the Saudi monarch, hailing his farsighted vision and pivotal role to consolidate regional security, stability and peace and protect the vital interests of countries and peoples. He also lauded the efforts exerted by the GCC secretary-general and all the general secretariat affiliates to achieve the council’s goals and Gulf people’s aspirations.
