HM King invited to attend Saudi annual camel race

Manama, Dec.16 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has received an invitation from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to attend the annual camel race. HM the King received at Al-Sakhir Palace today Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain Dr. Abdulla bin Abdulmalek Al-Sheikh, who delivered a letter enclosing an invitation to attend the event. The annual camel race is part of the 33rd National Festival for Heritage and Culture, being held by the Ministry of National Guard under the auspices of the Saudi monarch. HM the King extended deepest thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the kind invitation which reflects solid historic and fraternal relations, hailing the advanced level of joint cooperation. He commended the strenuous efforts being exerted by the Saudi monarch to conserve heritage and support events that promote cultural diversity, which keeping abreast of modern scientific and technical progress. HM the King underscored the crucial importance of the Al-Janadriya Festival which epitomizes the history of Saudi Arabia and reflects its honourable role in promoting dialogue between cultures and civlisations. He commended the continuous success of the festival since it was first launched, stressing the keenness of the thinkers and researchers in the event which represents the largest Arab platform that showcases diversity in the region. HM the King wished the success of the festival and its organisers.
