HM the King lauds BDF's programmes, future plans

Manama, Sep. 19 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, today paid a visit to the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF)'s General Headquarters. Upon arrival, HM the King was welcomed by the BDF Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Royal Guard Commander Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and senior officers. HM the King praised the ongoing development of BDF future plans to outfit it with cutting edge military systems and boost the capabilities of its personnel by providing them with high level training and military sciences. The Supreme Commander expressed pride the outstanding performance of the BDF personnel who, he affirmed , will remain the bulwark that protects the homeland, as well as its achievements, civilisational march and national unity. HM King Hamad valued highly the BDF servicemen's courage, determination and discipline, stressing that they will always remain a source of pride for all for their sincere keenness to perform their patriotic duties. HM the King lauded the military cooperation and coordination among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), stressing the need to strengthen such brotherly cooperation further. HM King Hamad also hailed GCC military cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries for the best interests of the region and its citizens. HM the King wished the brave BDF servicemen every success in assuming their duties.
