HM King to open Pearling Path Visitor Centre

Manama, Nov.24 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa will open the Pearling Path Visitor Centre on Wednesday. Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa announced the royal inauguration of the hub, stressing the importance of culture and infrastructure in promoting the sector of tourism. "The Pearling Path will lay the foundation for sustainable tourism which will contribute to enhance Bahrain’s standing in all sectors", she said. She made the announcement during the forum which was held at the 2018 Parliamentary and Municipal Elections Media at the Sheraton Hotel in Manama, in the presence of journalists and reporters representing Arab and foreign news agencies and newspapers. The Pearling Path project, the second heritage milestone to be included in the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites, will be completed late 2019. BACA president announced that a comprehensive cultural and tourism programme would be lined up next year, which will coincide with the 20th anniversary of the accession of HM the King to the throne.
