HM the King to patronise conference on humanitarian action

Manama, Oct. 25 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Honorary President of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), RCO will organise the seventh annual Conference for Effective Partnerships and Information Sharing for Better Humanitarian Action.
RCO is organising the event in cooperation with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Action (OCHA) and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Humanitarian Funds (OICHF) from October 31 to November 1, with the participation of more than 250 persons involved in humanitarian work in various charity and relief organisations and institutions across the world.
HM the King's Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and RCO's Board of Trustees Chairman, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, extended sincerest thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad for patronisng the conference, keen interest in developing charity and humanitarian and directives to deliver all kinds of support to stricken countries and peoples.
Shaikh Nasser stressed the importance of the conference as a platform for leading humanitarian and relief aid sides in the region with their partners from the UN and humanitarian organisations to build on the achievements attained over the last six years, and agree on the best ways to confront challenges facing humanitarian organisations at all levels.
RCO Secretary-General, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed said that preparations are in full swing to organise the conference.
He said that the conference aims to come up with a common understanding on ways to monitor and follow-up on the implementation of the announced pledges and the role played by organisations to achieve the best results.
