HM King patronises “Charter of Gold” celebration

Manama, Feb.17 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has today patronised ceremony celebrating the 19th anniversary of the National Action Charter (NAC).
The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs co-organised the ceremony at the National Action Monument under the theme “Charter of Gold”.
HM the King was received on arrival by HM the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Affairs (SCYS) Chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and SCYS First Deputy Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
Also present were Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Ayman bin Tawfiq Almoayyed, senior officials, along with over 4000 students who saluted HM the King, the architect of Bahrain’s development and progress.
HM the King inaugurated the Gold Bank website, which showcases all details about sports and youth achievers, along with their photos and achievements. He seized this patriotic occasion to thank all the participants in the celebration.
He hailed the celebration which marks a defining historic national anniversary, in which the loyal people of Bahrain showed their cohesion and solidarity, ushering in a new phase for the nation. He praised the ceremony which celebrates authentic national values which have long marked the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa presented HM the King with a commemorative gift on this national occasion which marked the 19th NAC milestone.
Commemorative photos were also taken on this occasion, showcasing HM the King with Bahrain champions who honoured the Kingdom with 390 achievements in 2019 – the Year of Gold.
Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi expressed deepest thanks to HM the King for gracing the ceremony, which embodies loyalty to the nation and allegiance and gratitude to HM the King.
The celebration included sports contests and other events, while thousands of students took part in a massive march from the University of Bahrain to the National Action Monument.
Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Ayman bin Tawfiq Almoayyed also paid tribute to HM the King for gracing the “Charter of Gold” ceremony celebrating the 19th NAC milestone, which epitomizes the far-sighted royal vision to build modern Bahrain.
He said that the milestone embodies unwavering unity binding the leadership of HM the King and the people of Bahrain, showcasing the national cohesion at its best and heralding Bahrain’s era of reform, democracy, development and progress.
He said that Bahrain’s landmark achievements in the Golden were the fruit of HM the King’s far-sighted vision, paying tribute to the people of Bahrain for their loyal and dedication to honour their nation in all fields.
Abdulla Abduljalil Al-Balooshi and Mohammed Jaffer Radhi, two special needs students enrolled at public schools were chosen to present the “Charter of Gold” ceremony, which featured poems, an operetta themed “Bountiful Charter”, celebrating the centennial of formal education in Bahrain and paying tribute to HM the King who initiated the national milestone.
An art show theme “Glorious Epic” which also stage, narrating the history of the Al-Khalifa dynasty and rulers, from Nejd to Bahrain via Zubara and from the epoch of Ahmed Al-Fateh to the prosperous era of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
Ro’ya Abdulmoman Al-Omari addressed the ceremony on behalf of the achievers, expressing deepest congratulations to HM the King on the 19th NAC anniversary, describing the milestone as a turning point in the history of modern Bahrain.
She paid tribute to the people of Bahrain who endorsed the charter by an historic sweeping majority of 98.4% of the votes, affirming their unwavering allegiance to the leadership to ensure a bright future for the coming generations.
