HM King to patronize 1st International Youth Festival for SDGs

Manama, Oct. 21 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa tomorrow will patronize the first International Youth Festival for sustainable development goals (SDGs).  The Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs organizes the event as part of its global initiatives to educate the youth about the UN's sustainable development goals, in addition to orientate them to be active in the implementation of development goals through their projects and innovations in the field of the UN’s 17 SDGs.  The festival will be held at the Isa Sports City, where Representative to HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, will deliver the opening speech, then the UN’s Representative will give his speech.   A visual presentation will be given on the festival to be followed by an artistic show performed by the youth leaders to focus on the UN's sustainable development goals.  Winners of the Nasser bin Hamad International Award for Youth Creativity will be honoured at the conclusion of the festival.
