HM King praised by Palestinian official

Manama, Aug.26 (BNA):Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) Executive Committee Secretary Generl Saeb Erekat hailed the stance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa A-Khalifa during his meeting with US Secretary Mike Pompeo, who visited the Kingdom Bahrain as part of a regional tour. Speaking to the Palestinian TV Channel, Erekat paid tribute to HM the King for stressing importance of intensifying efforts to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict according to the two-state solution that achieves a just and comprehensive peace and leads to the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the legal international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative. In a series of tweets on his account, Erekat praised HM the King’s stance, which he described as statement that stresses the necessity of a full Israeli withdrawal from the Palestinian territories. He said that he was updated about Bahrain’s steadfast stance in support of the Palestinian issue during after communicating with HM the King’s Advisor for Diplomatic Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa.
