HM King praises Bahrain’s solid relations with Republic of Korea

Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has affirmed the depth of the solid cooperation and friendship relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Korea, praising their steady progress across many fields. HM the King was speaking while receiving, at the Al-Safriya Palace today, the Republic of Korea National Assembly Speaker, Park Byeong-seug, who is currently on a visit to the kingdom. Park Byeong-seug conveyed greetings and appreciation to HM the King from the Korean President, Moon Jae-in, and Prime Minister, Chung Sye-kyun, as well as their wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of Bahrain. HM the King requested the Speaker to convey his greetings to the South Korean President and Prime Minister, and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the friendly South Korean people. HM King Hamad welcomed the Speaker of South Korea’s National Assembly, and praised the importance of such visits in broadening bilateral cooperation and joint action at the economic, investment, development and cultural levels, as well as paving the way for exchanging expertise in the legislative and parliamentary field. HM the King stressed Bahrain’s desire to enhance its existing partnerships with the Republic of Korea, and to avail of the two countries’ potentials to support joint projects and projects, which will benefit the two friendly countries. HM King Hamad lauded the pivotal role played by the Republic of Korea in Asia and at the international level, thanks to its achievements and successful economic, industrial and development experiences. HM King Hamad expressed his appreciation for the contributions of the South Korean expatriate community to Bahrain’s progress march, stressing that their efforts are appreciated and respected by everyone. South Korea’s National Assembly Speaker congratulated HM the King on the 20th anniversary of the National Action Charter, wishing him abundant health and happiness, and further progress and prosperity to Bahrain. He also congratulated HM King Hamad on the signing of the Declaration of the Abraham Principles with the State of Israel for the sake of achieving security and peace in the region. HM the King discussed with the South Korea’s National Assembly Speaker a number of regional and global issues of mutual interest, in addition to the latest developments of the novel Coronavirus pandemic, and the two countries’ efforts to mitigate its effects.
