HM King ratifies, issues law on amending OIC article

Manama, Feb. 17 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ratified and issued Law 2/2020 on the amendment to Paragraph One of Article Eight of the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Article One of the law stated the amendment of Paragraph One of Article Eight of the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was ratified in accordance with Resolution 44/3-T issued at the 44th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers held in Abidjan on July 10-11, 2017. Article Two stipulated that the Prime Minister and the ministers, each in their capacity, will implement the provisions of the law that will come into effect on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
