HM King receives BACA president

Manama, Dec.14, (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received, at Al-Safriya Palace, Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa marking her nomination by the Kingdom of Bahrain for the post of World Tourism Organisation (WTO) Secretary-General. HM the King wished BACA President success, adding that her nomination reflects Bahrain’s standing in the world, expertise and competence to hold high-level posts in different international organisations and bodies. He praised her dedicated efforts to serve the Kingdom of Bahrain, promote its standing the map of regional and international culture and heritage, preserve national antiquities and cultural landmarks, in addition to reviving authentic Bahraini values and heritage. (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa President expressed deepest thanks and gratitude to HM the King for his unwavering support to culture and for nominating her for the post of WTO Secretary-General. She briefed HM the King about BACA-led steps to promote the Kingdom of Bahrain through this nomination, which reflects sustainable cultural achievements, citing especially the Pearl Route project, which was implemented during HM the King’s era, in line with the UN-backed SDGs.
