HM King receives Bahrain-Russian Friendship Society Chairman, Vice-Chairman

Manama, July 7 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Safriya Palace today Chairman of the Bahraini-Russian Friendship and Business Society, Dr. George Al-Zuraikat, and Vice-Chairman Anatoly Mitrochin, on the occasion of their visit to Bahrain marking the establishment of the society. HM the King welcomed them, praising the efforts of the society in boosting bilateral relations and cooperation in the trade, economic, investment and cultural fields. He wished the society Chairman and members continuous success, commending strong historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Russia in light of joint keenness to further develop them at all levels. During the meeting, the society Chairman presented HM the King with a model representing the Orthodox Church which will be built in the Kingdom of Bahrain as part of the society’s goals and projects in appreciation of the freedom of religion, tolerance and coexistence characterizing the Kingdom of Bahrain. HM the King expressed thanks for the model, stressing religious freedom and tolerance which has ever characterized the Bahraini society throughout the kingdom’s history. The Bahraini-Russian Friendship Society Chairman expressed thanks and respect to HM the King for the gracious welcome, commending his keenness on promoting cooperation between the two friendly countries.
