HM King receives Dean of St Christopher’s Cathedral

Manama, Apr. 17 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Palace today the Very Reverend Christopher Butt, Dean of St Christopher’s Cathedral, and the UK Ambassador to Bahrain Simon Martin, marking the end of the Very Rev Chris Butt's tenure in Bahrain. HM the King welcomed Bishop Christopher Butt, lauding his efforts and contribution to humanitarian fields and praising the role of St Christopher's Cathedral and other churches in Bahrain in promoting religious tolerance and coexistence. He also praised strong historical relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom and their perpetual growth at all levels. HM the King stressed Bahrain's pride in hosting various religions, doctrines and cultures, emphasising religious tolerance characterising the Bahraini society and wishing the Very Rev Christopher Butt every success. The Dean of St Christopher’s Cathedral expressed thanks and respect to HM the King for the support he received during his tenure in Bahrain, praising tolerance, coexistence and openness characterising the Bahraini people.
