HM King receives FEI President

Manama, Nov. 15 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today at the Sakhir Palace received President of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), Ingmar De Vos, and the accompanying delegation on the sidelines of the delegation's participation in FEI General Assembly meetings hosted by Bahrain. HM the King praised the FEI President’s effort to upgrade the international equestrian sport, noting Bahrain’s regional and global equestrian achievements and its participation in organizing international competitions, which accentuated the Bahraini riders’ high capabilities. HM the King took pride in Bahrain’s purebred Arabian lines accepted by the Waho, known for wining races. HM the King expressed Bahrain’s keenness to further boost cooperation with the FEI, pointing out the equestrian sport role in strengthening friendship and building bridges of communication between nations. The FEI President expressed appreciation of the warm welcome and generous hospitality, praising Bahrain’s interest in encouraging the equestrian sport, which resulted in wining many contests at the international level.
