HM King receives letter from Saudi Monarch

Manama, Aug. 23 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received the Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, HRH Prince Sultan bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, at the Al-Safriya Palace today. HM the King was handed over a letter from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saudi pertaining to the distinguished deep-rooted fraternal Bahraini-Saudi relations, in addition to HM King Hamad’s proposal on holding a permanent annual consultation summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as well as other issues of mutual concern. The envoy also conveyed to HM the King greetings and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, as well as their sincere wishes of further progress and prosperity to Bahrain and its people. HM King Hamad requested the ambassador to convey his greetings to the Saudi King and Crown Prince, in addition to his wishes of more progress and prosperity to Saudi Arabia and its brotherly people. HM the King expressed pride in the solid Bahraini-Saudi relations, which are growing steadily thanks to the two kingdoms’ constant keenness to develop them across various fields, noting that throughout their long history, bilateral ties have always been based on solid joint cooperation and solidarity. HM King Hamad lauded the key role played by sisterly Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman, to safeguard the security and stability of the region, praising the Saudi Monarch’s ambitious vision, wise stances in support of development efforts, and keenness to champion the issues of Right, justice and peace.
