HM King receives National Guard Commander

Manama, Jan. 7 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, received National Guard Commander, General HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, at the Al-Safriya Palace. General HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa extended sincere congratulations to HM the King marking the National Guard’s 24th anniversary. HM the King commended the dedicated efforts exerted by the Commander and affiliates of the National Guard to carry out their patriotic duties of defending the nation, stressing that the National Guard has become a strong force that defends the kingdom’s sovereignty, security, stability and gains, alongside the Bahrain Defence Force and public security forces. HM King Hamad lauded the advanced level reached by the National Guard units in terms of training, high preparedness and constant readiness to answer the call of duty with all capability and success. HM the King requested HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa to convey his greetings and congratulations to the brave National Guard personnel, as well as his wishes of further success to them at various work sites. HM the King, the Supreme Commander, also lauded the joint drill, “Al-Badr-5”, held between the National Guard and the Pakistani Army, as part of efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange of expertise. It also confirms the depth of the historical distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries across various fields, particularly the defence one. General HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa expressed deepest thanks and gratitude to HM the King for his constant directives, and unlimited support for the National Guard and its affiliates, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect HM the King in order to continue leading the kingdom’s national march.
