HM King receives UAE Deputy Premier

Manama, Apr. 16 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has expressed pride in the long-standing relations between the leaderships and peoples of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, praising the UAE’s continuous support and honourable stances towards Bahrain and its people. This came as HM King Hamad received, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, the UAE Deputy Premier and Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General HH Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, at the Al-Sakhir Palace today. UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Director General of the Security and Ports Affairs, Abu Dhabi Police. Major-General Shaikh Mohammed bin Tahnoun Al-Nahyan, UAE Interior Ministry’s Undersecretary, Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah Al Shaafar, and the UAE Deputy Premier’s accompanying delegation were present. HH Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al-Nahyan conveyed to HM the King greetings from the UAE President, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, as well as their wishes of further progress and prosperity to Bahrain and its people. HM King Hamad welcomed HH Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, and requested him to convey his greetings to the UAE President, Vice-President and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, in addition to his wishes of more progress and prosperity to the UAE and its brotherly people. HM the King stressed that such fraternal visits contribute to consolidating bilateral cooperation, particularly in the security field, and providing a platform for coordination on the latest developments. HM King Hamad lauded the UAE’s landmark achievements in various fields, praising its prestigious status at the regional and global levels, as well as its good endeavours to support joint Arab action, and strengthen the pillars of security and stability across the region. The meeting also discussed the latest regional and global developments, as well as issues of mutual interest. The UAE Deputy Premier appreciated HM King Hamad’s great efforts to strengthen the solid brotherly relations between the two countries, lauding the steadily-progressing cooperation and coordination between the two countries in various fields.
