HM King receives World Bank Group president

Manama, June 26 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has today received, at Gudaibiya Palace, World Bank Group President David Malpass, currently on visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the "Peace to Prosperity" workshop. He welcomed the World Bank Group chief, hailing his keenness on attending the "Peace to Prosperity" workshop. He stressed Bahrain’s keen interest in bolstering relations of partnership with the World Bank Group and further bolstering fruitful cooperation. He reiterated Bahrain’s policy which is based on openness and collective action whose dividends benefit all. He lauded the role of the World Bank Group in achieving sustainable development goals and diversifying and developing the global economy.
