HM King returns to Bahrain after Hungary, France visits

Manama, May 3 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today returned to the Kingdom from France. While abroad, HM the King visited friendly Hungary, where he held talks with President János Áder. Then, HM King Hamad visited friendly France, at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron. HM the King and President Macron held talks on ways to enhance the long-standing Bahraini-French relations and bolster cooperation between them in various fields, in addition to the latest regional and global developments, and issues of common interest. Spokesperson of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs lauded HM the King’s visit to France, noting that it was a “strong an expected” event in the two countries’ relations. The visit was characterised by an intensive programme and substantive talks, and provided an opportunity to discuss regional and bilateral issues, the spokesman added.
