HM King visits Abu Dhabi Crown Prince

Abu Dhabi, Dec. 24 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa paid a visit today to Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at his Majlis in Abu Dhabi. Present were Representative to HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and SCYS First Deputy Chairman His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. HM the King expressed appreciation and gratitude for the historical fraternal stances of the UAE towards Bahrain which reflect strong relations between both countries and peoples. He lauded the UAE's strategic regional and international role, its balanced and thoughtful policies and tireless efforts to promote peace and security worldwide. He also praised the UAE's humanitarian initiatives under the leadership of the UAE President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. HM the King paid homage to late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, recalling his wise stances, inherent qualities and leading initiatives. He stressed that the founding role of late Shaikh Zayed in his country's comprehensive growth will remain a source of inspiration for every leader keen on the welfare of his nation and surrounding. He also praised late Shaikh Zayed's generous humanitarian initiatives, paying tribute to the UAE President for following the same approach of boosting stability and welfare across the world and supporting brethren countries. HM King Hamad underscored deep-rooted historical bilateral relations that are based on common goals, destiny and values. He paid homage to the Bahraini and Emirati martyrs who sacrificed their life in defending the Yemeni people and their legitimate state as part of the Saudi-led Arab coalition. He also commended the UAE's recent efforts at all levels to reach an agreement between the Yemeni parties in peace negotiations in Sweden. He pointed out contribution of those efforts to the issuance of the needed international resolutions as an important step towards a final and comprehensive solution. HM the King and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince discussed a number of issues of common concern to both countries at the bilateral, regional and international level. The meeting was attended by Royal Court Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Head of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and HM the King's accompanying delegation.
