Holy Quran Grand Prix competitions begins on Saturday

Manama, Feb. 7 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the 24th edition of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Holy Quran Grand Prix preliminary competitions begins on Saturday, February 9, organised by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, and will continue until February 19. Ministry's Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs Dr. Fareed bin Yaqoub Al Meftah hailed the Royal patronage of this award over the previous 24 years that confirms His Majesty’s keenness on supporting the Holy Quran memorisation, promoting its values in the society, and printing it. He paid tribute to the award’s founder the late HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa under whose supervision and as per his wise vision the award had been developed and continues to take place under the supervision of Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
